Class Placements for Next Year

At Columbine, we thoughtfully consider a wide range of factors when creating class lists for the upcoming school year. Our goal is to ensure every child is placed in a learning environment where they can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

You can see your child's teacher for the 26-27 school year using parent portal. Our classes are still being updated with newly enrolled students as well as our newly hired teachers.

The teacher assignments not yet available in Parent Portal are our 1st grade classes. You can see the assignments here.

For our kinder classes, your child will be designated a teacher during the first week of school but we will not finalize our kinder class lists until after the first week so that we can ensure all of our classes are best balanced. Our kinder registrations and enrollments are still being updated in IC so you may not see an assignment just yet.

Please know that these are subject to changes over the summer as our enrollment numbers fluctuate!

Happy Summer from Columbine PTA

Happy summer from the Columbine Cougars PTA!

We're still thoroughly enjoying our summer, but wanted to plant some seeds for the upcoming school year.

We're looking for parents and caregivers interested in joining a committee in the Columbine Cougars PTA? Each of these committees plays a vital role in planning and executing events, experiences and opportunities for all of our children to thrive. And that means each person on the committee plays a vital role in building a community for everyone to thrive.

We are looking for parents and caregivers who want to LEAD each of the overseeing committees and any others who want to support.

Finance & Fundraising Committee: Oversees and ensures organization is in good financial standing with all authorities and drives all fundraising for organization. Help plan, organize and budget fundraisers & events that support all kids’ school experience. Sub-Committees include: Finance Chair and Fundraising Chairs

Membership & Engagement Committee: Oversees and and implements plan for inclusive & equitable membership growth, retention and engagement strategies. Sub-Committees include: Outreach & Inclusion, Dads of Columbine (DOCs), Community & Events.

Community Resources & Relations Committee: Oversees and implements strategies to secure partnerships, donations, and sponsorships from local businesses. Connects families to essential school and community resources. Sub-Committees include: Community Partnerships & Sponsors, Community Resource Liaison.

Expeditionary Learning & Enrichments Committee: Serves as the bridge between the school's experiential learning curriculum and family involvement. Implements project execution, resource procurement and planning. Helps support the learning experiences and activities for all grades.

School Advocacy Committee (SAC) & Collaborative School Committee (CSC): Serves as a link between council & state, assesses legislative and advocacy issues. Serves as CSC representative for PTA. Sub-Committees include: School Support & Volunteers (Room Heroes --> Columbine Crew), School Accountability Representative.

And if you've been a Room Hero or wanted to become one, now's your chance -- we're changing things up to ensure all of our teachers, support staff and admin is readily and thoroughly supported throughout the year with our newly-minted COLUMBINE CREW, parent/caregiver volunteers who will support in the classroom for our teachers, in the office with our school leaders and anywhere else volunteers are needed to make sure we can all contribute to creating a future for our kids that otherwise wouldn't exist.

If you're interested, please fill out our interest form here

Looking forward to the year ahead!

In Crew,

Bonkosi Horn & the Cougars PTA Board
