Hi! My name is Rachel Lewis. I was born and raised in Colorado and enjoy living in Denver with my wonderful husband, Andy and our dog, Cormac. We love to hike and camp in our beautiful mountains. We also spend time drinking coffee and playing cards at local shops. After finishing a degree in Human Development and Family Studies, I started working as an Affective Needs Paraprofessional in DPS. I loved being able to support and nurture students and see their growth throughout the year. I went on to complete a Master’s degree in Education and received my teaching license. I am delighted to continue with the Columbine team as a 1st grade teacher. I believe that Columbine is a truly collaborative community that accepts all students and works to recognize each child’s talents. I hope to create a safe environment where students believe in themselves, encourage others and ultimately love learning.
