Hi! My name is Julia Puckett and I’m the 5th grade literacy teacher! I’m excited to start my third year at Columbine and really love this community and crew. I grew up in Denver and am an alumni of Denver Public Schools. I spent 5 years teaching third grade in Mapleton Public Schools before coming closer to home and joining Columbine! I love being a part of the Columbine crew because I love the way that EL modules tap into the genius of all students. I also love how “crew” is embedded into the whole school community through the practice of caring for one another and our space. Outside of school, my partner, Pat, and I have a curious and musical 2 year old son, Fen. As a family we love to travel, camp, hike, cross-country ski and garden.
