I’m a Midwest girl at heart – born and raised in Minnesota, where I received my BA in Elementary Education with an emphasis in Early Childhood Education. But, I couldn’t be happier to be living here with my husband, Andy, and raising our Colorado Natives, Teddy (4th Grade) and Abram (ECE-3).
After teaching in Arizona for 2 years and spending another 8 years at Brown International in NW Denver, I am beyond thrilled to have spent the last 6 years at Columbine because it’s my neighborhood school! And, lucky me, every year of my teaching career has been spent teaching Fabulous First Grade!
When I’m not busy learning with my Firsties, I love to travel, ski, read, cuddle with our Great Dane, Oliver, and cheer for the Packers!
Columbine is such a special place to teach because of the EL philosophy that we live and learn by, our strong belief in being connected to our neighborhood, and our enthusiasm to authentically work with the whole child. We Are Crew!
